Ayb's Inspiring Programs and the Remarkable Response from Benefactors

May 15 marked the creation of a sustainable and long-term foundation for new educational opportunities. The Ayb Educational Foundation held its first major gala dinner in Yerevan, bringing together around 250 benefactors, partners and people dedicated to education around the idea of education. During the event, Ayb announced the launch of new development programs, two of which relate to the development of the Ayb School campus and the construction of its individual components.

Particularly, a new high school building will be built at the campus in collaboration with the world-renowned architectural firm BIG  (Bjarke Ingels Group). In addition to creating globally competitive and high-quality educational systems, Ayb runs a large-scale social support program. The construction of the new building will double the number of high school students, about 70% of whom study with the support of benefactors. This means that more children—regardless of their families' financial status—will have access to high-quality education. The gala dinner raised $5 million for this major project.

Another important component of the Ayb campus is the construction of the Church of the Holy Translators, symbolizing the relationship between knowledge and spiritual values and the idea of the Holy Translators' movement that lies in Ayb's formation. The gala dinner raised $1 million for this purpose.

Details about the campus’s two programs will be available soon.

Driven by our mission to make the best education available to everyone, we are launching a program to establish new schools in the marzes. The first $1 million donation for this initiative was already announced during the gala dinner. One of the fundraising goals is to ensure the continuity of the social support program for Ayb High School's students, whose education is conducted through internationally recognized Araratian Baccalaureate program offering a comprehensive and value-based education.

Thus, besides the previously mentioned $7 million, the donations and pledges made during the evening totaled ֏167 million, which will go toward students' tuition fees and other development programs.

This fundraising event and the earlier one in the US dedicated to the formation of the endowment fund of the Ayb Educational Foundation, guarantee the continuity of our long-term goals and programs and reflect the promise of our commitment to society.

We are grateful to all who contributed to this memorable event with their presence, trust and support, as well as to dedicated members of our community who have turned our big dream and idea into a reality over the years.

Every contribution and support is an opportunity for us to transform Armenia and the future of our children through the power of education.
