The 405 Educational Alliance Development Foundation officially launched its activities

405 Educational Alliance, co-founded by the Ayb Educational Foundation, the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA), Teach for Armenia Educational Foundation, Simonian Educational Foundation (TUMO), Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), Armenian Educational Foundation, and AGBU Armenia, signaled the official launch of a new model of cooperation in the Armenian educational environment.

This special platform for collaboration began to take shape in December 2022 as part of the Civil Initiative for the Right to Education, responding to violations of the educational rights of numerous children due to the blockade of Artsakh. Institutionalizing its activities, this initiative received legal status in July 2024. The alliance brings together leading educational institutions with the mission of ensuring fair and equal access to high-quality, value-based, and comprehensive education both in Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora. Some of the primary objectives of the alliance are the full realization of the right to education and the development, implementation and dissemination of a competitive and innovative Armenian educational model. Additionally, the alliance seeks to enhance public oversight of the education sector and raise awareness of educational processes. Its key strategic direction is to develop public control mechanisms and to raise the level of public awareness of educational processes.

405 Educational Alliance will do what is difficult for us to implement separately, notes Aram Pakhchanian, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ayb Educational Foundation.

“We have all reached a stage where we have realized that what each of us does without a common context is similar to when people get together to build a house but each one is building their own room. So we realized that it is time for all of us to build one house together. Very often our discussions led us to the conclusion that the time had come. And gaining that momentum created a solid basis for moving on to action.”
