The RA Investigative Committee has decided to terminate the criminal proceedings against Ayb for the lack of corpus delicti.

It is about the criminal case on “possible abuses” by Ayb as part of the Araratian Baccalaureate program, as stated by the minister of education and science in 2018 and processed a year ago. The decision made by the RA Investigative Committee clearly states that no illegal activity committed by Ayb has been found.

For more than three years, a range of government authorities, even law enforcement bodies have persecuted Ayb. However, the result of numerous examinations and investigations have demonstrated what has already been clear for all of us—Ayb has not committed any abuses. We have to record that a huge amount of state resources has been required to refute the obviously unfounded and biased statements by Arayik Harutyunyan. In such conditions, the Ayb community not only fought against the attacks on its reputation and the Araratian Baccalaureate program, but also consistently continued to invest in, maintain and develop the Araratian Baccalaureate, looking for new opportunities to make the program accessible for students of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh. It should be noted that the Araratian Baccalaureate is still the only Armenian-language educational program that has international recognition and is equivalent to the British A-level and American Advanced Placement qualifications. Unfortunately, in 2018, RA Ministry of Education and Science without any substantiation terminated the investments for the Araratian Baccalaureate in the RA public schools. As a result, thousands of students in the marzes of Armenia and Artsakh were deprived of the opportunity to study free of charge in accordance with the highest international standards, without having an adequate alternative. The huge financial resources invested by the state and the Ayb Foundation, as well as the intellectual contributions made by many specialists for the implementation of the program were squandered. To eliminate this unforgivable damage caused to our children, and its consequences, the Ayb Foundation has carried out and will continue all the actions provided by law.
