Тhe results of the Generation AI program

The Ayb Educational Foundation summarized the results of a year-long training aimed at capacity building of the Generation AI program’s teachers.

Teacher training is essential to uphold high educational standards and ensure that teachers are well prepared. It allows to establish a robust teaching community equipped with new capacities, ready to build a quality and exemplary education system.

Adhering to its mission, the Ayb Educational Foundation undertook the development and implementation of the teacher capacity building sub-program within the AI program. As a result, 23 advanced mathematics teachers and 15 teachers of digital science and computer literacy participated in the first round of the training.

A total of 45 hours of training and 74 hours of mentoring support were offered throughout the year. In parallel with the training process, class observations and subsequent discussions took place.

The 38 teachers participating in the program had the opportunity to continuously enhance their skills, acquire new knowledge and methods to make mathematics and computer science more engaging for all students involved.

"Our country's security, economy, education, healthcare depend on the teachers," mentioned Gohar Hovhannisyan, executive director of the Ayb Educational Foundation. "I would like to thank the trainers, mentors and class observers who complemented each other and grew together, imparting their experience and knowledge to the teachers involved in the program. Our trainers cultivated an engaging environment of cooperation and played a key role in establishing a teaching community that strives for the best quality and perfect results."

The Ayb Educational Foundation awarded certificates to all teachers participating in the program.

Starting in September 2023, the Generation AI pilot educational program was launched in 15 high schools of Armenia's 7 marzes: Syunik, Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak, Kotayk, Armavir, and the capital Yerevan.
