The first fundraising for event the Ayb Educational Foundation’s Endowment Fund in Silicon Valley

 

On November 16, in Silicon Valley’s most unusual house, under the hospitality of David Yang, the first private fundraising event for the Ayb Educational Foundation’s Endowment Fund took place with the participation of the Ayb community and friends. 

Endowment funds are an important longevity guarantee of prestigious educational institutions throughout the world. Also, in the case of the Ayb Educational Foundation, this will ensure the stability and continuity of our educational programs, providing future generations with the opportunity to receive high-quality and internationally competitive education. Ayb’s Endowment Fund formation was launched in the US, with the first US$2.8 million raised during a private evening. This is an important step towards realizing the Foundation's mission to transform Armenia through education. 

In an exclusive and interesting setting, the event was special not only due to the warm community contacts but also due to the introduction to innovative and progressive ideas. In his technology-equipped house, David Yang, co-founder of Ayb, founder of ABBYY and author of artificial intelligence programs, introduced guests to the possibilities of artificial and emotional intelligence as well as of new tools aimed at solving various problems. 

Steve King, head of Europe and Central Asia Education Reform at the Cambridge Partnership for Education, as an Ayb strategic partner, came specially to present the successful experience of cooperation with Ayb and the opportunities for its development. Graduates of Ayb School that are currently studying at the best universities in the world also attended the event and presented their success stories. The internationally recognized Araratian Baccalaureate program has opened up great opportunities for them around the world. It is to be noted that 70% of Ayb High School students study AB program with the support of benefactors.  

The Ayb Endowment Fund was supported and contributed by David and Michael Yangs, Noubar Afeyan, Artur Janibekyan, Ruben Harutyunyan, Zaven Paul Akian, Raffi Festekjian, Arsen Galstyan, Tigran Harutyunyan, Artavazd Minasyan, Edgar Avetisyan, Eduard Kirakosyan and other devoted Armenians. 

This unique event not only symbolizes Ayb's long-term vision and mission but also serves as an important signal to our society to take responsibility for the future, unite around core values ​​and serve education.
