On July 15-16, the Ayb Educational Foundation welcomed Steve King, head of Education Reform, Europe & Central Asia, Cambridge Partnership for Education.
Тhis was another visit as part of the long-term cooperation of the University of Cambridge and Ayb. Steve King first got acquainted with Ayb School, exploring the educational environment and opportunities. Then, in the context of the country’s educational reforms, discussions focused on the development and dissemination prospects of the Araratian Baccalaureate educational program in the RA schools, a program jointly developed by Cambridge and the Ayb Educational Foundation.
The Ayb Foundation’s representatives and Steve King also had a meeting with Araksia Svajyan, deputy minister of the RA ESCS Ministry, and Tamara Sargsyan, head of the Department for General Education. During the meeting, the discussion outlined areas of the educational system where Cambridge’s experience and support can be useful. Particularly, this included the issue of ensuring that the assessment system, educational resources and textbooks align with the new state standards for general education.
