Khan Academy Armenia

Since 2017, the Ayb Educational Foundation has been localizing the repository of the world's largest online educational platform, Khan Academy, into Armenian to create equal opportunities for education.

This global education platform is available in 190 countries, offered in 50 languages with 135 million users. The platform provides a huge tool set for self-study, and hybrid education for learners, teachers and parents. All subject materials are adapted to the RA state standards for general education.

Currently, Armenian learners have access to various courses, including arts and humanities, science, talks on blended learning, test prep (SAT, in English), programming, career-related subjects, biology, computer literacy, math, economics and finance, Khan Academy for educators, chemistry, physics.

To ensure effective comprehension and dissemination of Khan Academy's educational facilities in the RA and Artsakh, Khan Academy Armenia’s team regularly carries out:
• offline and online workshops for students and teachers;
• trainings, tours and courses;
• familiarization meetings, competitions, other events.

What Problem We Solve

Social, security, physical boundaries and limitations can pose obstacles to children's learning and affect education quality. Khan Academy Armenia’s platform is directed toward ensuring equal educational opportunities for students across all marzes of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh. It provides a free, world-class, competitive, Armenian-language education to all learners, regardless of their age or location. With only a phone and internet access, anyone visiting the platform can get extensive learning opportunities.

What Results We Have

Today, Khan Academy Armenia has:

• 2 114 000 views,

• 782 962 visitors,

• 35 409 learners,

• 10 514 teachers,

• 4 090 parents.

Alongside adding new content on the platform, Khan Academy Armenia continues to control and improve the quality of the existing resources to ensure the best educational experience for everyone.
