Intensive Subject Courses

First professional orientation program
Program
Description

This is one of the Ayb Educational Foundation’s projects implemented in 2006-2008 for high school students.

Participation in intensive subject courses in math, physics, chemistry and English language organized by Ayb allowed nearly two dozens of talented students to receive free tutoring and more insight into their future careers.

Many graduates of these courses were admitted to some of the best universities in the world or had their dream job in their desired field, became Luys Foundation's scholars as well as initiated projects both in Armenia and abroad, thus contributing to the development of their homeland.

It was as part of this program that in 2014, the Ayb Educational Foundation launched the main tool of the implementation of the National Program for Educational Excellence (NPEE)—the Araratian Baccalaureate (AB), a globally competitive and recognized educational program.

The program aimed to produce graduates who would serve as an example for their sisters, brothers and peers and share their knowledge, experience and network to help them reach new educational heights.

Participation in the program gave the students the opportunity to:

  • gain basic knowledge in math, physics, chemistry and English language,
  • improve and develop writing skills,
  • learn from best specialists, using tested methodologies,
  • practice in AybLabs, Ayb’s modern educational laboratories,
  • use all educational resources of Ayb,
  • receive support regarding university admission, application procedure, professional profile and other issues,
  • prepare for international tests,
  • receive mentorship support for further education and career development.

12 out of 20 graduates of the program were admitted to the top universities worldwide—University of Cambridge, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, University of Toronto, Cornell University, University of Illinois, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, etc.

All 20 graduates of the program were admitted to 3 local and 11 foreign universities.

One of the graduates of the Intensive Subject Courses, Arsen Mamikonyan, who had once received the support he needed to develop his knowledge and who saw the warmth and dedication of the Ayb community members, having graduated from the university, made the decision to become Ayb Club member and thus support the development of the education sector in Armenia through the conscious contribution of both his time and financial resources.
