Araratian Baccalaureate (AB) is an internationally competitive educational program developed by the Ayb Educational Foundation. Until 2018, the Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, in cooperation with leading educational institutions in the field of education, were involved in its introduction.
In December 2016, the RA Government made a decision to allow the introduction of the Araratian Baccalaureate program in RA state general educational institutions and recognized the AB exam results eligible for applying to Armenian higher educational institutions. The program's international partners are Cambridge Assessment International Education, Cambridge University and the UCL Institute of Education.
We strive to:
The AB’s final exams are the world’s first Armenian-language exams in line with international standards and requirements. These exams are organized, implemented and assessed by the independent examination body, the Araratian Baccalaureate Examination Center (ABEC).
The examination materials are developed by the Center's subject specialists who have been trained by the best experts of the Cambridge Assessment International Education.
The AB’s exams not only test students’ knowledge of a given subject but also reveal their skills in thinking, analysis, communication and laboratory work. There are standard and advanced AB exams for the AB students. The exams are assessed by the Cambridge Assessment International Education. As a result of the exams, students receive a diploma jointly certified by Cambridge and the Ayb Educational Foundation.
AB’s Advantages

According to the RA Government's decree No. 597-N of April 26, 2012, the admission examinations of the RA state and private higher educational institutions are the centralized exams, university exams as well as the Araratian Baccalaureate exams.
